7v7 (U7-U10)
Training Philosophy and Curriculum:
U7-U10 teams will focus on technically based topics that move to more tactical application throughout the season. Methodology is mostly “progression” (focusing on the technique moving from individual skill, to smaller groups, to 7v7) and “game-based” while mixing in “play-practice play”. More advanced technique/tactics for U10 players compared to U7/U8 players. Training will challenge technique and tactical understanding but will do so in an enjoyable, game-based environment that divides the group up so each player is challenged at their level. Curriculum topics will be taught in three four week phases in the fall and three four week phases in the spring.
Teams/Rosters:
U7/U8 teams will play 5v5 or 7v7 (including GK) and typically have one roster that trains together and divides up into teams for league matches.
U9-U10 teams/groups will play 7v7 and typically have one roster trains together and divides up into 8-11 players per team for games.
